Maritime Academy Post UTME Form for 2021/2022 is Out
This is to inform the general public especially prospective students of Maritime Academy of Nigeria (MAN), Oron that the school authorities have released the post utme (ND Full-time) form for 2021/2022 academic session.
The registration portal will be open from September 20th and ends October 19th.
MAN Post UTME Eligibility.
All candidates who sat for the 2021 UTME are eligible to apply. However, candidates must reach the cut-off mark of the course they are going for:
- Nautical Science: 175
- MARINE ENGINEERING: 175
- ELECTRICAL/ELECTRONIC ENGINEERING: 175
- MARITIME TRANSPORT AND BUSINESS STUDIES: 160
Applicants are required to also posse the following:
- A minimum of five (5) credit passes in Senior School Certificate Examination or its equivalent obtained in not more than two sittings within the LAST FIVE YEARS in relevant subjects.
- Applicant MUST have the correct JAMB subject combinations for each course of Interest.
MAN Undergraduate Requirements.
Senior School Certificate Examination or its equivalent and JAMB Subject Combination
- Nautical Science:
O’level Requirement: Five (5) credit passes at Senior School Certificate Examination or its equivalent in the following subjects: English Language, Mathematics, Geography, Physics and any other relevant Science subjects obtained at NOT MORE THAN TWO SITTINGS.
UTME Subject Combination: English Language, Mathematics, Geography and Physics. - Marine Engineering
O’level Requirement: Five (5) credit passes at Senior School Certificate Examination or its equivalent in the following subjects: English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry any other relevant Science subjects
UTME Subject Combination: English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics - Electrical/Electronic Engineering
O’level Requirement: Five (5) credit passes at Senior School Certificate Examination or its equivalent in the following subjects: English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry any other relevant Science subjects
UTME Subject Combination: English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics. - Maritime Transport and Business Studies
O’level Requirement: Five (5) credit passes at Senior School Certificate Examination or its equivalent in the following subjects: English Language, Mathematics, Economics/Commerce and any two relevant subjects from Government, Principles of Account.
UTME Subject Combination: English Language, Mathematics, Economics, Commerce/Government/ Principles of Account
Physical and Medical Fitness:
- Due to the peculiar requirements of the Institution and the maritime industry as well as international convention (STCW) 95 as amended in 2010 which mandates all sea men to be physically and mentally fit to work in the maritime industry, all applicants are expected to be physically and mentally fit to be able to withstand the rigours/challenges of the cadetship training
Marital Status:
- Applicants must be single and shall remain single throughout the duration of the programme.
Age Limit for Each Programme
- Candidates applying for Nautical Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering and Marine Engineering must be between the ages of 16 and 21 as at 30th November 2021.
- Candidates applying for Maritime Transport and Business Studies must be between the ages of 16 and 25 as at as at 30th November 2021.
