TESCOM TO PROMOTE 5,335 TEACHERS IN 2022 – ARIYO

The Lagos State Teaching Service Commission has concluded plans to organize the Year 2022 Revised Structured Training Program (RSTP), comprising Cross- Cutting Knowledge and Job Specific Seminars for over Five Thousand Education Officers across the Six Education Districts of the State, LASTVEB and TESCOM.

According to the Chairman Teaching Service Commission, Mrs. Olabisi Ariyo, the RSTP is a prerequisite for Promotion of Eligible Officers in the State’s Teaching Service.

She affirmed that all eligible Officers for Promotion will undergo trainings on Job Specific and Cross Cutting Knowledge which is aimed at preparing them for expected optimal service delivery of responsibility in the next higher post they aspiring for.

In her words, “The Structured Trainings is practically to equip our Officers with relevant knowledge and update them on the programs and policies of the State Government especially, as it affects Education and Technology for better performance. This is apposite to the actualisation of the Governor Babajide Sanwo -olu’s THEMES Agenda in line with the 21st century global practices”.

She added that Officers will be assessed based on punctuality, participation and contributions during and after the training which will form part of their cumulative results with their Staff Performance and Appraisal Development (SPADEV) reports and Oral interviews.

The RSTP is scheduled to hold between Tuesday, June 14, and Friday, June 17, 2022 from 9am to 4pm daily.

Education Officers on Grade Levels 06 – 10 will attend the physical RSTP at (5) designated Centers on Tuesday, June 14, while all Non-Teaching Staff (NTS) across the Six Education Districts, LASTVEB and TESCOM will also attend a physical RSTP on Wednesday, June 15, in three different centres across the State.

However, Education Officers on Grade Levels 12-16 will attend a Virtual RSTP between Wednesday, June 15 -Friday, June 17. Officers on Grade Level 13 have been scheduled for Wednesday, June 15, while all Officers on Grade Levels 14,15 and 16 are expected to be online on Thursday, June 16. Friday, June 17, is scheduled for Officers on Grade Level 12.
