JAMB approves cut-off marks for 2023 admissions
The JAMB cut-off scores for the admissions cycle 2023–2024 have been released. This was one of the decisions made during the 2023 Policy Meeting on Admissions to Tertiary Institutions in Nigeria, which was held today, June 24, 2023, at the National Judicial Institute in Abuja.
The minimum score required by JAMB to gain admission to Nigerian universities is 140. The Board also set the minimum cutoff mark for polytechnics at 100 and the minimum cutoff mark for colleges of education at 100. However, the institutions are free to make individual decisions.
The board set a N2,000 fee for Post-UTME screening as well. Any institution that wants to conduct any kind of screening may do so, but the fee must not be more than N2,000, according to JAMB.
Public tertiary institutions will start announcing their Post-UTME sales forms and screening dates once the cut-off marks are made public. Candidates must keep an eye out for announcements of this nature.
