WAEC GCE (1st Series) 2025 registration is now open

This is to inform the public and prospective candidates that the registration for the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WCE) for private candidates in 2025 – first series has begun. The registration fee is currently set at N27,000, and the sale of pins will conclude on January 6th, 2025. Please read all the information on this page carefully to ensure successful registration for the 2025 GCE.

REGISTRATION FOR THE EXAMINATION:

The registration for the WASSCE for Private Candidates, 2025 – first series will be conducted online. After obtaining the Registration PIN, candidates should log onto www.waeconline.org.ng to complete their registration. Candidates should also be aware that the registration process has been designed to include biometric features that will be utilized for validation at the exam centers.

REGISTRATION PERIOD:

The standard registration period is from Monday, December 20th, 2024, until January 6th, 2025.

MODE OF PAYMENT:

Candidates are required to pay a registration fee of Twenty-Seven Thousand Naira (N27,000) only at any branch of the following banks or through any accredited agent to acquire the Registration PIN and information VCD:

WALK-IN CANDIDATES:

Candidates who wish to register after the official entry closing can be considered as “Walk-in Candidates,” provided they register at least twenty-four hours before the scheduled time of their intended paper(s). The fee for “Walk-in Candidates” is Forty-Five Thousand Naira (N45,000.00) only.

CANDIDATES WITH SPECIAL NEEDS:

Candidates with special needs may also register online, just like other candidates, but they must explicitly mention their impairments, such as visual, low vision, spastic, speech, or hearing difficulties.

WHERE TO REGISTER:

Candidates can go to accredited banks, cyber cafes, WAEC offices, and the nearest “WAEC REGISTRATION POINTS” to purchase the PIN and register.

COMPLETION OF REGISTRATION:

Candidates MUST complete their registration within two weeks after first accessing the website during the registration period. They should ensure that their names, gender, passport photographs, dates of birth, and subjects are accurate. Printing the Admission Notice as proof of successful registration is also important, which will serve as identification during the exam. The Result Checker PIN will also be included on the Admission Notice. The accepted fingerprint scanner is the UareU digitalPersona fingerprint device.
