Edo University Post-UTME/DE Form 2025/2026: Eligibility, Requirements, and How to Apply

Edo State University Uzairue (EDSU) wishes to inform the general public that the Post-UTME and Direct Entry (DE) admission forms for the 2025/2026 academic session are now available online for prospective candidates.

General Admission Requirements

UTME Candidates

• Candidates must have sat for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

• Applicants must complete the online application form via the university’s portal: www.edouniversity.edu.ng.

• A minimum of five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, is required in not more than two sittings in SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB or equivalent.

• Candidates applying for Medicine and Surgery (MB;BS) must obtain the five required credits in one sitting only.

• Candidates awaiting results may also apply.

• All applicants must participate in the EDSU Screening Exercise.

• Candidates who did not choose Edo State University as their first choice but scored in the 2025 UTME can apply by:

  • Requesting a Change of Institution through JAMB.

  • Completing the university’s online application form.

Direct Entry Candidates

• Applicants must purchase and process the 2025 JAMB Direct Entry Form.

• Acceptable qualifications include:

  • Minimum of Merit Pass in NCE, or Credit in OND/HND, or a university degree in a relevant field.

  • Two A-Level passes or their equivalent in relevant subjects.

  • IJMB, JUPEB, or Cambridge School of Basic Studies qualifications with acceptable grades.

• All DE candidates must also meet the O’ Level requirements as specified per faculty.

• Other qualifications may be considered as approved by the university senate.

Transfer Candidates

• Transfers are allowed from other NUC-accredited institutions to EDSU provided candidates:

  • Complete the online transfer application on the university portal.

  • Pass the screening/interview by EDSU.

  • Hold the minimum admission requirements.

  • Provide JAMB admission letter from current university.

  • Submit official academic transcript to the admissions office.

  • Have a minimum CGPA of 1.5.

Application Fees

• Post-UTME/DE Application Fee: ₦2,000

• Transfer Application Fee: ₦60,000
