JAMB 2025 Mop-Up UTME Scheduled for Saturday, 28th June: Slip Printing Begins 23rd June
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially announced that the 2025 UTME Mop-Up Examination will hold on Saturday, 28th June 2025.
All eligible candidates must commence printing of their examination notification slips starting Monday, 23rd June 2025.
✅ Who Can Take the 2025 JAMB Mop-Up Examination?
The mop-up UTME is specifically for the following categories:
- 5,096 spill-over candidates who were not scheduled during the main UTME.
- Candidates who failed biometric verification during the main exam.
- 91,742 absentee candidates from both the main and resit examinations who have been granted a special one-time chance.
👉 In total, 96,838 candidates will participate in this mop-up across 183 approved CBT centres nationwide. Some additional candidates are on standby.
🚫 CBT Centres Delisted for Malpractice
JAMB has delisted 113 CBT centres across the country due to:
- Technical failures
- Examination malpractice
- Security breaches during previous exams
These centres were removed following JAMB’s strict compliance checks and on-going security investigations.
🛡️ Security Agencies Commended for Their Commitment
The Board deeply appreciates the support of the:
- State Security Service (SSS)
- Nigeria Police Force (NPF)
- Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC)
Their efforts have led to the arrest of impersonators, examination malpractice syndicates, and even some corrupt officials.
The crackdown continues across the country.
🚩 Important Notice: Some Exam Towns Deactivated
Due to security reasons and investigations, some examination towns have been deactivated.
Affected candidates will be relocated to the nearest available towns for the mop-up UTME.
JAMB requests understanding from the impacted candidates.
🎯 Ongoing War Against Impersonation
The mop-up exam offers a critical opportunity to catch more impersonators, particularly university students sitting for UTME on behalf of others.
- Tertiary institutions are being notified to expel students found guilty.
- Offenders will also face charges under the Examination Malpractice Act, 1999, which allows for imprisonment of even under-aged offenders and their parents.
Special security squads and invigilators will be deployed nationwide in line with the Honourable Minister of Education, Dr. Maruf Tunji Alausa’s campaign against exam malpractice.
🕗 Mop-Up UTME Time: Be Early!
- First session begins by 8:00 AM prompt.
- All candidates must arrive at least 1 to 1.5 hours before the exam start time to complete verification.

All genuine and eligible candidates must print their exam slips from Monday, 23rd June 2025.
The slip will contain:
- Exam venue
- Date and time
- Candidate details
